Price
The prices of activities are as set out from time to time on the Company’s website at www.kanyu.co.uk
Prices may also be displayed in printed literature, such as leaflets, and on noticeboards at South Lodge, Moor End, Boston Spa however the current prices payable are those which appear on the website. Current prices, as displayed on the website, shall be applied at the time of booking and shall apply at the time service is delivered to the customer. Any price variations arising subsequently to those applying at the time of booking shall not apply to the booking in question.
Bookings & payments:
Bookings for the Company’s escape games may ONLY be made via the website and must be paid for in full at the time of booking by credit or debit card.
In the event that more clients than the number booked wish to take part in the event, additional players may pay on the day by credit or debit card or in cash PROVIDED THAT the total number of players does not exceed the maximum stipulated for the game(s) in question.
Kanyu Team Building
Clients wishing to book a team building event should contact the Company by telephone or by emailing to arrange their event. Full payment must be made not less than 7 days before the date of the session(s) by debit or credit card or by BACS to Kanyu Ltd Sort code 20-48-42 account number 03918653.
Tea, coffee and water are provided. Other refreshments/food can be arranged, please discuss your requirements with us.
Late arrivals
The Company operates tightly scheduled live action events. The Scheduled Arrival Time of all groups is NOT LESS THAN 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF THEIR GAME. Where possible we will strive to accommodate late arriving groups or individual members of a group, but this cannot be guaranteed. Arrival up to 15 minutes later than the scheduled arrival time may result reduced game time; arrival up to 30 minutes after the scheduled arrival time will result in reduced game time. Arrival more than 30 minutes after the scheduled arrival time will result in the event being cancelled without refund or recompense. Sessions will start promptly with those present; late arrivals may join their group at the absolute discretion of the Company and entirely subject to staff being available to brief late arrivals. No participant may enter a room without being briefed.
Cancellation, non-attendance and refund policy
Once payment has been made, no refund is available.
With not less than seven days’ notice, a voucher code will be issued to the person who made the booking for the number of places booked. The voucher code can be used to make a new booking at no additional cost.
With not less than 24 hours’ notice, a voucher code will be issued to the person who made the booking for one fewer than the number of places booked to cover cancellation costs.
With less than 24 hours’ notice, a voucher code will be issued for two fewer than the number of places booked.
If one or more members of a group fail to attend, a credit voucher for one player only shall be issued in respect of the person or persons not attending.
Cancellation or termination arising from inappropriate behaviour
The Company reserves the absolute right to deny entry or to exclude at any time during the session any person whose behaviour is inappropriate for example, but not limited to, abusive language towards staff and/or other participants, being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, failure to comply with the rules set out during the briefing, abuse of the fixtures and fittings of the Company’s premises and grounds. Exclusion in these circumstances is entirely at the discretion of the Company and no refund will be made nor voucher issued in respect of payments received by the Company from the group in question.
Theft, Damage & Lost Property
The Company shall not be liable for any damage to – or theft of or from – property, including vehicles of customers or anyone accompanying, delivering, and/or collecting customers or visitors. Any lost property that is encountered by the Company will be retained for three months, after which time it may be disposed of. The Company accepts no liability for any property left anywhere on its premises by customers/parents/responsible adults or any other non-staff member: Anyone leaving property in whatever circumstances shall be wholly and solely responsible for such property in whatever circumstances.
Force majeure
The Company shall not be liable for any refunds or compensation arising as a result of conditions beyond its control including, but not limited to Acts of God, Government restrictions, wars, insurrections and/or any other cause beyond the Company’s reasonable control. Nor shall The Company be liable for any failure or delay in performance should said failures or delays be proximately caused by causes beyond the Company’s reasonable control and occurring without its fault or negligence, including, without limitation, failure of suppliers (including utilities), subcontractors, and carriers. As a matter of goodwill any bookings affected by Force Majeure will receive a voucher code to enable an equivalent booking to be made by the client on a future date.
Cancellation/postponement by the Company
If, outside the provisions of Force Majeure above, the Company cancels an event for the Company’s reasons, such as illness, clients will be offered a voucher code enabling the client to re-book at time of their choosing or a full refund.
Compensation
In the event of any claim for compensation arising from a cancellation by the Company for reasons within the Company’s control, the limit of compensation payable shall be the amount paid by the affected client or client group for the event that has been the subject of the cancellation.
Other conditions
Except at the Company’s absolute discretion, no client may take mobile telephones, bags, jackets or coats in to the game rooms. Secure lockers are provided for clients to store such items.
Booking and/or participating in an event at South Lodge implies absolute acceptance of all the foregoing terms and conditions.
